City Hall Approves Luzhniki Reconstruction Plan

The Luzhniki stadium complex will undergo major reconstruction, the city construction committee said.

The main sporting arena will be rebuilt, and other renovations and new construction will take place for the sports palace, swimming pool, soccer school building, small sports arena, the soccer academy, the children's sporting center, covered tennis courts, ticket offices and the main entrance, a city spokesman said last week, Interfax reported.

There will be five entirely new buildings constructed, including a sports hotel, six cafes, a chapel and an international sambo center, the source added.?
