Russian Archdiocese Publishes Article Saying Dinosaurs Walked the Earth With Jesus

The Russian Orthodox Church’s archdiocese in Tatarstan has published exciting new research indicating that the Bible shows dinosaurs existed as recently as 2,000 years ago, meaning they walked the Earth alongside men like Plato, Julius Caesar, and even Jesus Christ.

The article appeared on the Tatarstan archdiocese’s official website, after it was apparently published in a local parish newspaper in Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan’s second-largest city. In the text, titled “The Bible on Dinosaurs,” the author argues that Christianity’s holy book says dinosaurs existed 7,000 years ago and went extinct roughly 2,000 years ago. The article claims that biblical animals like “leviathans” and “dragons” were also dinosaurs.

“Descriptions of an animal [similar to dinosaurs] can be found in the Book of Deuteronomy, which means an animal similar to a dinosaur was known to mankind both 7,000 years ago and 2,000 years ago (when the Book of Job is thought to have been written),” the article reasons.

Contrary to the author’s findings, the world’s scientific community has reached a consensus that dinosaurs lived and went extinct millions of years ago. The only debate found among serious researchers today concerns how exactly these animals died out.
