The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) has arrested two Russian citizens in connection with a report of an explosive device on board a plane in Kiev, the Interfax news agency reported Friday.

The plane, which was traveling from Dubai to Kiev Zhuliany International Airport, was carrying 149 passengers including one child and seven crew members when the report was made after the plane's scheduled landing at 2 p.m. Friday.

?€?Immediately after touchdown one of the passengers reported that there was an explosive device on board the plane and he intended to detonate it,?€? SBU chief of staff Oleksandr Tkachuk said in an interview with the 112 Ukraine television channel.

Emergency services were called and all passengers were evacuated after the plane was drawn to an alternate parking lot, Tkachuk told 112 Ukraine.

Two Russian citizens are currently under arrest and there are no further threats to passengers at Zhuliany, Tkachuk said.
