Muscovite Discovers Homemade Bomb Under Car

A man in the south of Moscow discovered an object under his car's gas tank that on closer inspection turned out to be a bomb.

Apparently unfazed, the man promptly detached the explosive and placed it in his car. He then brought it to the local police department of the Nagatino-Sadovniki district on Wednesday, a day after he made the discovery, Interfax reported.

Members of the engineering unit have established that the object was a homemade explosive device consisting of a 200-gram block of TNT and a detonator, ITAR-TASS reported

"At this moment, the explosive device that was seized has been sent off for inspection," police told Interfax, adding that an inquiry into the incident is under way.
