The Federal Security Service and the Federal Guard Service will not disclose information about officials' incomes and possessions despite an order from President Dmitry Medvedev, Vedomosti reported Tuesday.
The FSB said in a written response to an inquiry from the newspaper that information about employees of the security service was a state secret, while the guard service cited no reason behind its refusal.
Other government agencies that have not made public the incomes of its officials include the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Federal Customs Service and the Foreign Ministry, Vedomosti said.
Beginning this year, all senior officials were supposed to declare their family incomes under an anti-corruption initiative signed by Medvedev. However, the 2009 presidential decree on income declarations allows classified information to be kept off limits.
The deadline to disclose incomes and some assets was in May, although some governors and lawmakers only released their information much later.
