Exotic dancers from Moscow's Golden Girls club have taken part in a photoshoot for a calendar dedicated to the Syrian conflict that they intend to present to the President Vladimir Putin.
For the showgirls, Putin is the main peacemaker among other leaders, since they believe that intervention in Syria has been averted only due to his efforts, RB.ru reported Thursday, citing a statement from the club.
Some 20 strippers took part in creation of the calendar, which features their half-naked pictures and calls for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing violence in the Middle Eastern country.
The captions vary from "Search for chemistry in relationships, not chemicals in Syria" to "I don't know what Syria is but I don't want it to be bombed anyway."
The owner of the club, Sergei Lee, told RB.ru that the calendar was a brilliant way to prove that the dancers were much more well-rounded than society thinks they are, and one more opportunity to draw attention to Syria.
A limited amount of the calendar's copies have been issued, with most of them given to the dancers that took part in the photoshoot and some of the club's visitors. One of the copies has been set aside for Putin, who has not yet been told of Golden Girl's gift.
