Domodedovo Bomber's Sister Cleared

Investigators have dropped all remaining charges against a sister and a friend of the suicide bomber who killed 37 at Domodedovo Airport in January, Kommersant? reported? on Wednesday.

Fatima Yevloyeva and Umar Aushyev had been charged with giving weapons and bombs to Magomed Yevloyev, but the charges have now been dropped for lack of evidence, the newspaper said, citing an anonymous police source.

Investigators concluded that Yevloyeva was merely a relative, not an accomplice, and that Aushyev — a student who helped transport the bomber — was a "victim of circumstance."

Terrorism-related charges against the pair were dropped in May.
