U.S. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has claimed that Russia and China will celebrate if her opponent Donald Trump wins the upcoming U.S. elections.

Speaking on national security in San Diego on Thursday, Clinton said that Trump's isolationist views would weaken the country while playing into the hands of the Kremlin, Time Magazine reported.

"Moscow and Beijing are deeply envious of our alliances around the world, because they have nothing to match them," Clinton said. "They?€™d love for us to elect a president who would jeopardize that source of strength."

?€?If Donald gets his way, they?€™ll be celebrating in the Kremlin. We cannot let that happen.?€?

Clinton also said that that Trump's victory will be ?€?a historic mistake?€? as ?€?he will take the country down a truly dangerous path,?€? Time Magazine reported.

?€?He [Trump] says he has foreign policy experience because he ran the Miss Universe pageant in Russia,?€? Clinton said.

?€?He praises dictators like Vladimir Putin and picks fights with our friends ?€“ including the British prime minister, the mayor of London, the German chancellor, the president of Mexico and the Pope,?€? she said.

The U.S. presidential elections are to take place on Nov. 8.
