Two separate private plane crashes killed at least three people and injured three others on Sunday.
A single-propeller Il-103 went down under unclear circumstances some 25 kilometers east of Ryazan, Interfax reported. Three burned bodies were discovered at the crash scene, including one that appeared to belong to a child.
"It was flying illegally, and the flight had not been authorized," a local health official told Interfax.
It wasn't immediately clear who owned and operated the plane, a training aircraft with seats for a single pilot and up to five passengers.
Separately, a Yak-18T carrying four people crash-landed in the Lipetsk region village of Kemenka, near the local Safari Park, the Investigative Committee said in a statement.
The single-propeller, four-seater aircraft flipped over when a wheel rolled into a pothole as it was landing. Three people were rushed to the hospital.
No further details were immediately available.
Investigators are looking into both incidents.
