In a village near Moscow, Mikhail Kasitsin, 45, has given shelter to his friend Olga Sadomichenko, 66, and her 4-year-old granddaughter Masha, who fled conflict-torn eastern Ukraine after Masha's kindergarten was bombed.
More than 400,000 Ukrainian refugees, escaping escalating violence in the country's east, have come to Russia since April, according to data by Russia's Federal Migration Service.
