Moscow Students Show Party Spirit After Graduating

Graduates of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, or MSTU, showed they know how to throw a real party with bright celebrations marking the end of their exams.



More than 700 hundred student gathered last week outside the university to celebrate term's end, with colored flares adding to the carnival atmosphere. As part of the celebrations, students also took it in turns sit in metal pans while they were dragged along by a motorcycle.



The street-style celebrations are an annual tradition for students leaving the prestigious technical university, which has produced several famous graduates in the past.



Sergei Korolyov, a Ukrainian-born rocket scientist who founded the Soviet space program, attended Bauman university during the late 1920s. The school prepares students for future careers in engineering and aerospace engineering, among others fields.
