Transaero Mulling Fall IPO

Transaero, the country’s second-largest airline, is planning an IPO in the fall to raise $200 million, Reuters reported Friday, citing sources in banking circles.

Transaero did not comment when contacted by news agencies Friday. The company is 33.5 percent controlled by CEO Olga Pleshakova and her husband.

Transaero’s passenger volume has grown sharply this year, increasing by nearly 75 percent year on year in the first quarter to 1.17 million. The figure is roughly half the volume of its larger rival, state-controlled Aeroflot.?
