S.Holding Eyes Unikor Deal

Property developer S.Holding is seeking to buy a housing complex and an office building from Unikor Group, Vedomosti reported, citing a copy of a letter sent by S.Holding to Unikor Group.

In May, Unikor Group concluded a $282.50 million deal to sell the assets to Bin Group, which is owned by the family of tycoon Mikhail Gutseriyev and businessman Mikhail Shishkhanov.

Alexei Shepel, the owner of S.Holding, said the developer would buy the assets if the deal with Bin Group was canceled.

He added that Alfa Bank had agreed to finance S.Holding's purchase of the assets.

The assets put up for sale are the Sadovye Kvartaly housing complex with an area of 450,000 square meters in Moscow's Khamovniki district and the Summit office building with an area of 60,000 square meters on Tverskaya Ulitsa. The office building includes an intercontinental hotel and a lux hotel.

Unikor Group is owned by Bidzina Ivanishvili, a Georgian billionaire and opposition leader.
