ST. PETERSBURG — President Dmitry Medvedev will use his trip to the U.S. next week to focus on the “economic component” of relations between the former Cold War rivals, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Saturday.
“There are favorable conditions for taking a new step on the American front,” Lavrov said. Medvedev will meet with his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama during the visit, which starts June 22 and will include a visit to Silicon Valley.
