The largest government contract in 2012 was one worth 44.3 billion rubles ($1.45 billion) that the Federal Railway Transportation Agency signed with Stroinovatsia for the construction of the Kyzyl-Kuragino rail line, a study by SPARK-Marketing shows, Interfax reported.
The Defense Ministry's biggest contract of 2012, with the Severnaya Verf Shipyard for a logistics-support ship, was worth 11.7 billion rubles. The smallest contract was worth 321 rubles; it was for four brushes and 15 paintbrushes.
The Kremlin Office of Presidential Affairs' biggest contract was with United Aircraft Corp. for delivery of three "specialized civilian airplanes." It was worth 8.85 billion rubles. The Health Ministry's biggest contract was worth 4.8 billion rubles and was for delivery of a cancer drug.
