Russia expects to harvest 72 to 73 million tons of grain this year, Agriculture Minister Nikolai Fyodorov told the State Duma on Wednesday. Considering carry-over stocks of about 20 million tons, that would fully meet domestic needs and allow Russia export potential of from 10 to 14 million tons, Fyodorov said. By now, more than 76 percent of the land planted with grain has been harvested from. Sixty-three million tons of grain have been harvested, versus 77 million tons by the same time last year and 52.6 million tons in 2010.
