A motorcyclist in the Chelyabinsk region has died after driving into a cow, regional police said in an online statement.

The accident took place in the early hours of Wednesday morning on a road outside Magnitka, according to the statement.

Police added that the 34-year-old man lacked the necessary license to drive a motorcycle and had previously had his category B driving license — allowing him to drive a car — revoked.

Traffic police said they were continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
