The Kremlin has confirmed that a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will take place in Moscow on March 23, the state-run TASS news agency reported Tuesday.
?€?A meeting between Kerry and Putin will indeed go ahead,?€? Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists, TASS reported.
?€?Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will brief the president on their contacts. A sufficiently broad scope of issues will certainly be brought up during the course of the talks, primarily on the pressing topics of Syria and Ukraine,?€? he added.
Regarding expectations for the upcoming meeting, Peskov advised that reporters address their questions to the Foreign Ministry.
