Hunting With Eagles in Kazakhstan

Kazakh hunters with their tamed golden eagles wait in a bus as they arrive for an annual hunting competition that took place outside Almaty earlier this month.
Hunting with eagles has long been practiced by people living in the Eurasian steppe. The hunters, who often ride horseback, send their trained birds after rabbits, foxes and even wolves.
