Life is funny



Yes life is not easy when one has to work in the land where language can be a barrier!! I have so many funny episodes to share with you all. I happen to be here on deputation form India and life is not easy for me!!
When I was new, I learnt to pick up milk cartons after reading”moloko” and continued to live in bliss until I found another fellow Indian shopping with me in a mall one fine morning.  When I picked the carton of mine with the picture of a “cat” on it. Sand was about to walk away, this lady was scandalized. she came close, tapped me on my shoulder and said.” How long have you been drinking this milk?”I told her it was almost 3months now!

she was scandalized and told me. I had been drinking “cat food” !! My jaw fell!! She further explained one must never ever buy milk cartons with animal pictures ..”always look for one with an old woman or family picture”-she said and vanished. I swooned, and was terribly upset, till I reached for work the next day and asked my Russian friend if it was true!! And LO! What a sigh of relief -when I got to know it was not so!! It was just a brand logo!! Ha-ha  for once I was not wrong!!
