Syria Mulls Russian Planes

Syria is in talks with Russia about buying planes, said Syrian Deputy Prime Minister Abdallah Dardari on Friday, as U.S. sanctions have stalled negotiations to buy as many as 50 Airbus aircraft.

“I’m looking for planes with less than 10 percent of U.S. components,” Dardari said. “That leaves only Russia. We’ve spoken about it with President Dmitry Medvedev.”
