Slavneft Sells Refinery

Slavneft, a joint venture of TNK-BP and Gazprom Neft, has sold the Slavneft Yaroslavl-Mendeleyev Refinery, also known as Rusoil, for 21 million rubles ($657,000), the joint venture said in a financial statement, Interfax reported.

Slavneft sold Rusoil to Neftgazsbyt, the news agency said. According to Interfax's SPARK database, Neftgazsbyt's co-owners are Irina Astafyeva and Yevgeny Komarov.

Slavneft said it had decided to sell Rusoil to optimize its production. For a long time, the joint venture was unable to find a buyer, although there were several contenders for the refinery.

Rusoil was established in 1879 and produces fuel oil, heating fuel, lubricants and additives.
