Germany on Monday gave its final approval for construction of the Nord Stream gas pipeline on its territory, leaving Finland as the last barrier for the completion of the link.
The Nord Stream consortium said it received the permit to construct the 31-kilometer section of the gas pipeline in Germany’s exclusive economic zone, after last week gaining approval for construction of the underwater section in Germany.
