The Federal Security Service (FSB) announced that it has arrested a former staff officer of the Black Sea Fleet, whom they accuse of spying for Ukraine.

"On Nov. 22 in Sevastopol,  the FSB detained a former member of the Black Sea Fleet's staff, Captain Second Rank Leonid Parkhomenko," the FSB statement said.

"Parkhomenko, in carrying out tasks for the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, collected and transferred secret state activities of the Black Sea Fleet to a foreign intelligence agency."

The FSB has initiated a case of treason against Parkhomenko. The investigation is currently ongoing.
