A train in southern Russia was delayed for almost an hour after it got caught behind a camel taking a jog, a widely shared video that appeared over the weekend shows.

The footage published on social media shows the oblivious humpback plodding along the tracks as the driver blows its horn to shoo the animal away. The camel, however, appears unfazed by the noise.

“It’s been running at 22 kilometers per hour, now it’s running at 13 kilometers per hour,” the train driver can be heard saying.

“It’s about to drop and lie here,” he adds in between the loud air horns.

The video was filmed on Jan. 5 near Russia’s border with Kazakhstan, southern Russia’s Astrakhan-based news website Arbuztoday.ru reported Saturday.

The regional railway company said that cases of wild or domesticated animals venturing onto train tracks have grown more commonplace in the Astrakhan region, the state-run RIA Novosti news agency reported.

“Each case carries the potential risk of injuring passengers and locomotive crew workers,” the news agency quoted Privolzhskaya Railway, a subsidiary of state company Russian Railways, as saying Monday.
