Russia's Presidential Elections, Live From Moscow

Today, Russians are casting their votes in presidential elections. There are eight candidates on the ballot, including Vladimir Putin, who is expected to win by a huge margin. The main takeaways:

—Voting took place across 11 different time zones on Sunday, beginning in Russia's Far East and ending at 9 p.m., Moscow time, in Kaliningrad.

— With 99 percent of votes counted, the Central Elections Commission gives Vladimir Putin 76.65 percent of the vote. The Communist Party's Pavel Grudinin came in second place with 11.81 percent of votes.

— The turnout was 67.47 percent.
