An emergency service for drug addicts will be set up in Moscow next year, local news portal M24.ru reported Tuesday, citing Russia's chief addiction psychiatrist Yevgeny Bryun.
The service will be run by The Moscow Scientific Practical Center for Drug Addiction, Bryun told the news portal.
Emergency care will be provided by addiction specialists as well as social workers, M24.ru reported earlier this year.
In addition to the emergency care, a mobile app for alcoholics and drug addicts will be launched in Russia next year.
The app is designed to provide users with information about support group meetings and doctors' advice on how to keep addiction in check.
