Police are searching for the owner of a horse that got run over on Wednesday while crossing a road in southern Moscow.
Traffic police said a car crashed into the unaccompanied horse at Feodosiyskaya street in the southern outskirts of the capital, Interfax reported Thursday.
The horse died and the driver was injured as a result of the collision, the report said.
Road accidents involving horses in Russia are rare, and lone horses wandering around the capital are not a common sight.
Russian media reports have dubbed the animal a "lone horse," adding police are searching for its owner.
