Gazprom Neft plans to spend 14.4 billion rubles ($488 million) this year on its Omsk refinery, Russia's largest facility.
The company will commission a 3 million-ton diesel hydrotreater and a 1.2 million-ton gasoline hydrotreater at the plant in the second quarter, a company official said Tuesday, declining to be identified in line with company policy. The units, which remove sulfur from fuels, were to start operating this quarter, Oleg Belyavsky, head of the plant, said Dec. 6.
The St. Petersburg-based company plans to invest 115 billion rubles in the western Siberian refinery by 2020, according to a statement Tuesday. Omsk can process 391,000 barrels of crude a day, data compiled by Bloomberg show.
