Artur Ryno and Pavel Skachevsky, who are serving 20-year sentences over two cases related to a spree of racial hate murders, pleaded guilty to another killing, RIA-Novosti reported Wednesday.
The two are charged with killing 37-year-old Maxim Lavrikov, whom they stabbed more than 50 times because they mistook him for a Central Asia native, the report said. The assault took place in eastern Moscow in 2007.
Ryno and Skachevsky admitted to killing Lavrikov during a Moscow City Court hearing, but Ryno's lawyer denied the racial motive of the assault. She did not elaborate Wednesday.
