Russia must improve education in skilled trades to diversify its resource-reliant economy, President Dmitry Medvedev said Tuesday.
Medvedev said technicians, tradespeople and laborers were a crucial ingredient in efforts to make Russia more competitive. “The measures taken so far are insufficient for full-scale modernization of education,” he said.
