Moscow’s heat broke a daily temperature record for the 10th time since the start of the summer Tuesday when the thermometer showed 35.2 degrees Celsius, Interfax reported.
The previous record for July 27 was set in 1936, when the temperature reached 34.8 C. On Monday, the heat beat all records since meteorological records started to be collected 130 years ago by reaching 37.4 C.
Weather forecasters said the heat will subside by Friday, when it will dip to 27 to 29 C, but may climb back to 34 C on Sunday.
