A Russian man has been arrested in Warsaw for flying a drone over the offices of the Polish prime minister, Radio Poland reported Monday.
The National Security Bureau of Poland told local media that the drone had flown over the Polish chancellery, filming the area, Radio Poland reported.
The drone’s pilot had arrived at the scene in a Porsche car, accompanied by another man, also a Russian citizen, according to the security bureau.
While the car has been searched and no explosives have been found, Poland’s internal security agency is continuing to investigate the incident.
Law enforcement spokesman Mariusz Mrozek said that if found guilty, the man faces up to five years behind bars for violation of Poland’s aviation regulations.
