The New Times magazine published a report about President Vladimir Putin?€™s eldest daughter Maria on Monday, which revealed that Putin now has a grandchild.

According to The New Times, Maria uses the surname of her husband, Dutch businessman Jorrit Faassen, previously Gazprom's director of business development and vice chairman of the MEF-Audit consulting company.

Before her marriage, Maria used several other surnames while studying at the medical faculty of the Moscow State University, the magazine reported, citing unidentified sources.

Maria and her husband lived in Moscow in an elite building near the U.S. Embassy in central Moscow, but over the past six months, the neighbors stopped seeing Maria in the area, the magazine reported.

According to The New Times, citing videos published online, Maria recently gave birth to a daughter.

Last year Reuters published an investigation into the life of Putin?€™s younger daughter Katerina, who uses the surname Tikhonova, according to the news agency.
