Victory Day Parade Rehearsals Mean December Road Closures in Moscow

The parade rehearsals will also affect the public transport timetable. Vedomosti

Moscow residents can expect traffic restrictions in the city this month, as rehearsals for the May 9 Victory Day parade get under way, the state-run TASS news agency reported Friday.

Proyezd Devichyego Polya, a street near the Park Kultury metro station, will be partly closed to cars on Dec. 4 and on every odd date from Dec. 7 to 11, 14 to 18, 21 to 25. Traffic will also be restricted there on Dec. 28 and 30.

The parade rehearsals will also affect the public transport timetable. Buses no. 64 and 132 will skip several stops on the rehearsal days and their routes will be changed slightly.

The Victory Day parade takes place every year on Red Square to commemorate the victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.
