Russia's State Duma Reconvenes After Summer Recess

Denis Abramov / Vedomosti

The State Duma will reconvene Tuesday for its first plenary meeting after a summer break.

The State Duma's Council was scheduled to meet Monday afternoon to approve an agenda for subsequent plenary sessions, according to the legislature's website.

The Duma reconvenes in full on Tuesday, when Speaker Sergei Naryshkin will address the chamber on its tasks for the next few months — an agenda that is expected to be topped by national budget issues, independent Ekho Moskvy radio reported Monday.
