Trains on the metro's Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line resumed normal operation after the body of a passenger who jumped onto the tracks Friday morning was removed.
The incident occurred at the Oktyabrskoye Polye station around 10 a.m., Interfax reported. Trains between the Begovaya and Tushinskaya stations were temporarily stopped.
At 10:34 a.m., the third-rail was turned off so that emergency workers could remove the body, and the rail was turned back on at 11:07 a.m., the metro's press service reported.
The man reportedly jumped in front of an oncoming train; police are currently trying to determine his motives.
