Moscow's annual hot water shutoff will begin on May 12, the Rossiiskaya Gazeta newspaper reported Monday.
Hot water supplies will stop for up to nine days at a time in 284 buildings around the city, sources in Moscow's utility services company told the newspaper.
Service workers will perform hydraulic and temperature tests on 15,500 kilometers of water pipelines. A total of 188 kilometers of pipes are scheduled for replacement, according to Rossiiskaya Gazeta.
