A member of the radical art group Voina is seeking compensation from the government for unjustified prosecution, his legal team said, Fontankta.ru reported on Wednesday.
Leonid Nikolayev is seeking an unspecified amount, said Agora, the organization which is representing him, according to the report.
Nikolayev was arrested in November 2010 for taking part in a protest in which several police cars were overturned. Criminal against him were dropped on Sept. 1, the group said on their web site on Tuesday.
After his release in February 2011, Nikolayev filed a complaint of wrongful arrest with the European Court of Human Rights.
