NATO's Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg announced Tuesday that the alliance is ready for a renewal of ?€?constructive talks?€? with Russia, the RIA Novosti news agency reported on Tuesday.

"We do not seek confrontation with Russia and we want to prevent the possibility of a new Cold War," Stoltenberg said at a news conference in Brussels.

However, he also said that Russia is ?€?prepared to use military force to intimidate its European neighbors?€? in response to NATO's eastward expansion, and to "reshape" the borders of Europe, RIA Novosti reported.

Stoltenberg said that it is important that the Minsk Agreements are fully implemented to end the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
