Bond girl Berenice Marlohe has told a Russian television channel that she would jump at the chance to play a Russian spy.
Marlohe, who is in Moscow to promote her latest romantic comedy “5 to 7,” was asked by LifeNews on Saturday if she would ever consider playing a Russian character in a movie.
“Oh yeah! Like maybe a Russian spy. I don't know, I said it just like that, but probably yes, I'd love to!” she replied.
Marlohe also said that she was planning to stay in Moscow for several days and that she was enjoying her time in the Russian capital.
“Moscow is a wonderful city and Russia a great country, but above all I like the people. They are so authentic, emotional and alive. They inspire me,” she said, according to dubbed comments by LifeNews.
Marlohe's affinity for all things Russian also extends to her co-star in “5 to 7,” the actor Anton Yelchin, who was born in St. Petersburg but emigrated to the United States as a baby.
“ I love Anton […] He is so warm, an incredible person and a very talented actor,” Marlohe told LifeNews. “So we became friends, and I hope this chemistry shows on screen,” she said.
A well known television actress in her native France, Marlohe shot to international fame as femme fatale Severine in the James Bond film “Skyfall.”
Her latest film “5 to 7” is set to screen in Russian cinemas on Friday.
