Reflections of Moscow

The Moscow Times

Igor Tabakov / MT

As the largest city in Europe, Moscow has its fair share of surface area — vertical, horizontal, underground and towering above the residents as they participate in the frenetic pace of the capital. Such a pace often prevents those who live in Moscow from taking the time to view the city as it is reflected on those surfaces that we might not notice — puddles (a constant nuisance), balloons, display cases and storefronts. In this gallery, Igor Tabakov shows us his juxtaposed observations of a Moscow that only exists when you take the time to stop and observe it.
