Rechnik: An Elite Neighborhood Under Fire

The luxury village of Rechnik has been under scrutiny in the past week, as Moscow authorities started demolishing houses Thursday after several years of bitter conflict with the residents. City authorities say construction in the environmentally protected area is illegal. Staff photographer Vladimir Filonov was on the scene Monday when demolition workers and court marshals returned and gave angry residents one last chance to move out.
