Russian Airline Aeroflot Slashes Euro Ticket Prices

Maxim Stulov / Vedomosti

Russian's flagship air carrier Aeroflot has lowered euro prices of outbound flights by 10 percent, gazeta.ru reported on Wednesday.

The company stated in a press release that the reduction will apply to all flights provided by Aeroflot and their subsidiary companies from locations in Russia to destinations abroad. ?

The lower prices will be available on all advertised international flights, with the exception of promotional deals, flights that pass through former CIS states and routes that are operated by the Aurora air company, which is part of the Aeroflot group.

“A significant reduction in prices for the aforementioned routes was made in December 2015. The discount does not apply to tariffs that provide passengers with a transfer to foreign airports with rival airlines,” Aeroflot announced.

The company stressed that the price reductions were implemented to compensate Russians for the increased costs of international air travel in connection with the weakening ruble.
