Gazprom Bidding in Greece

Greece chose 14 investors, including the state oil company of Azerbaijan and Gazprom, for the next phase of the sale of its natural gas company and grid operator.

The list of 14 includes Azerbaijan's Socar, Gazprom and Negusneft from Russia, according to an e-mailed statement from the Athens-based Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund on Wednesday. Companies on the list include Spain's Enagas and Gas Natural, Italy's ENI and Edison, Algeria's Sonatrach and Israel Corporation.

Greece is seeking to sell state-controlled natural gas supplier Depa and its fully owned Desfa gas grid operator unit as one group or separately.
