A major exhibition devoted to Dmitry Shostakovich has opened at the Central Manezh Exhibition Hall in honor of next month's 100th anniversary of his birth. It features films, documents and photographs, such as this 1949 shot depicting a recording session for the score of the film "Meeting on the Elbe." Shostakovich, at the far right, plays piano, while actress Lyubov Orlova, at the far left, sings along to his music. "Dmitry Shostakovich: A Symphonic Century" runs to Aug. 29 at the Central Manezh Exhibition Hall, located at 1 Manezh Square.
