This photograph, titled "Black Star," went on display at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art on Petrovka this week as part of an exhibition called "Speaking With Hands." All the photographs in the exhibit belong to the New York-based collector Henry M. Buhl. After buying a photograph of Georgia O'Keefe's hands, he became fascinated by the way hands reveal personality and built up a collection that dates from the earliest days of photography to the present. Among the exhibits are works by Man Ray and Julia Margaret Cameron. This black-and-white image was taken in 1996 by Italian photographer Maurizio Cattalan.
