Six Russian football fans have been arrested in the German city of Cologne after attacking three Spanish tourists, the RIA Novosti news agency reported Friday.
One victim was hospitalized as a result of the attack, which took place in the city center on Thursday evening. Local media reported that the Spanish men had been distributing anti-racism stickers.
Five of the attackers were arrested on the scene, with a sixth accomplice who initially escaped being arrested by police on Friday.
The men were flying Moscow that evening after attending Russia's match against England at the European Championships in Marseille on June 11, RIA Novosti reported.
The arrests follow widespread fan violence at the football competition, with French police arresting 43 Russian supporters after clashes England fans in the Marseille stadium.
Twenty Russian fans have so far been deported from France, while another three have been jailed.
