news29.ru

A Russian cruise missile went astray during a test launch and hit a block of flats in the northwestern region of Arkhangelsk, but no one was injured, the Defense Ministry said Tuesday.

“After the launch, the missile diverged from its course and fell near the village of Nenoksa,” the ministry was quoted as saying by Russian media reports.

The rocket hit a three-storey building, but residents were evacuated in time, and no one was hurt, the state news agency TASS reported.

The strike caused a fire in the building, which also housed a kindergarten, the Arkhangelsk region News29 portal reported.
