This week doesn't have to be all rain, sleet and snow. Moscow, as usual, offers a whole range of concerts this coming weekend. Here are our picks.
This Friday you can catch one of rare performances by Bravo — one of those few bands that started out in the 1980s in what was then the U.S.S.R. and are still around today. Founded by Yevgeny Havtan, Bravo's first lead singer was the now legendary Zhanna Aguzarova who left the band to pursue her solo career in the late 1980s. In more than 30 years of existence the band has gone through several more lead singers, including Valery Syutkin. Today some of the songs are performed by Robert Lentz and some by the band's leader Yevgeny Havtan. Bravo released a brand new album earlier this month, so expect some new songs along with the hits that shaped Soviet rock-n-roll revival of the 1980s.

If you are in a mood for something a bit more contemporary, on Friday night check out Race to Space, which will be presenting their new EP. Race to Space is one of the many music projects of the prolific Miriam Sekhon, whose voice has been compared with that of Dolores O'Riordan of The Cranberries. The band plays a mix of indie-pop and electronic music, somehow reminiscent of the Orbital and London Grammar at the same time

This Saturday, Sergei Babkin, the lyrical half of the cult duo 5'nizza, which enjoyed a brief reunion last summer, will perform his solo program at Yotaspace. Babkin is known for his mellow pop-rock melodies and somewhat melancholy lyrics, so stock up on tissues before you go.

If you feel like experiencing some of that signature Moscow opulence this weekend, go to Enrique Iglesias' concert at the Barvikha Luxury Village this Sunday. It will cost you ?€” ticket prices start at 20,000 rubles (about $300) ?€” but it will be an unforgettable experience. And Enrique doesn't need any introduction.
